This is an application for expeditious hearing of an application filed under Section 8 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

Mr. Ganguli, learned Advocate submits that the application under Section 8 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act was not heard on June 14, 2021 and the next date has been fixed on January 6, 2022.

In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed there is no necessity of issuing any notice upon the opposite parties. However, the petitioner shall be obliged to forward a copy of this application as well as this order upon the opposite parties or their learned advocate in the Court below forthwith.

CO 1737 of 2021 accordingly stands disposed of by requesting the learned Civil Judge (Senior Division), 5th Court at Alipore to take up the hearing of the application under Section 8 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 on the next date fixed that is on January 6, 2022, if the same is ready for hearing, and to dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

There will be, however, no order as to costs. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on priority basis. (Hiranmay Bhattacharyya, J.)
