1. The petitioners' grievance that they are not allowed to sit in the examination of 4th Semester, has now been redressed.

2. The petitioners have sat for those papers in which they were unsuccessful in the 4th Semester and have presently cleared the same. The petitioners had already cleared the 5th Semester. The petitioners are eagerly awaiting the examination of the 6th Semester.

3. The petitioners are qualified and are eligible to take the examination for the 6th Semester of their respective course.

4. Ms. Sengupta, learned Advocate appearing for the University, submits that the dates of the 6th Semester examination have not yet been confirmed, but are likely to be conducted between June and July 2026.

5. As and when such examination is conducted in the months of June and July 2026 or as may be fixed by the University, the petitioners will be eligible and entitled to take the examination without any further requisites.

6. With these afore-stated directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

7. There shall, however, be no order as to costs.

8. Urgent Photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of all necessary legal formalities.
