Mr. Pranay Mukherjee ... for the petitioner Mr. Rudranil De Ms. Deblina Dasgupta ...for the State It is the grievance of the petitioner that he was entrusted by the Krishnaganj Panchayat Samity, Nadia, with the construction of a Health and Wellness Centre at Durgapur SC, Nadia. The petitioner states that he completed the construction work and handed over the newly constructed building to the Block Medical Officer of Health on October 6, 2023. Despite the successful completion of the work, the petitioner has not received any payment from the said Panchayat. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that several representations were made before the District Magistrate, Nadia, but no payment has been made to date.

Learned advocate appearing for the State, on instructions, submits that the Block Development Officer, Krishnaganj Development Block, Nadia, by a letter dated July 7, 2025, requested the District Magistrate, Nadia, for requisition of funds for payment

under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund Scheme.

In view of the foregoing, I do not find any justification to keep this writ petition pending. I, therefore, direct the District Magistrate, Nadia, to consider the representation of the petitioner and take steps for the release of his legitimate dues in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order. Accordingly, WPA 14836 of 2025 stands disposed of.
