The S.P. has not found any omission on the part of the Basanti Police Station in conducting investigation into the complaint lodged by the petitioner. It is submitted that three complaints lodged by the petitioner against the private respondents have all resulted in charge sheets. It is further submitted by the counsel for the State that the private respondents have lodged two complaints against the petitioner, which are registered as FIR and also resulted in charge sheets. Both sides have obtained bail.
Both sides are warned against perpetrating any kind of violance whatsoever against each other. The
petitioner shall return to his residence day after tomorrow duly escorted by police.
The Basanti Police Station shall post a police picket of two constables for a period of 7 days around the residence of the petitioner and maintain a strict vigil and shall ensure that there is absolutely no breach of peace between the private respondents and the petitioner in the area.
In respect of any further complaints from either side, particularly, by the lady, the matter shall be investigated by a lady police officer, and immediate and appropriate measures shall be taken by the Basanti Police Station.
With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.
There shall be no order as to costs.
The report of the Basanti Police Station dated September 19, 2022, addressed to the learned State Advocate, is kept with the record.
All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
