Mr. Prosenjit Mukherjee Ms. Sima Ghosh Mr. Saptarshi Chakraborty Ms. Poulami Dutta .....For the Petitioner Mr. Sandip Mondal .....For the State The petitioner in this writ application points out that she is a meritorious student who appeared in (JEE) Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2021 and ranked GEN-EWS 11966, category within 12000 assured seat entire India IIT. She belongs to socially and educationally backward classes as her father belongs to Economically Weaker Section as per Govt. Rule. Though concerned BDO gave recommendation after proper verification but concerned SDO did not issue EWS certificate to the petitioner in spite of entitlement. Hence this case is filed for favourable relief for appeared JEE (Advanced) 2021, Examination and cut of date for uploading the EWS certificate on 02.10.2021, 17-00 hours. The petitioner appeared the Join Entrance Examination (Main) - 2021 under the Ministry of Education, Government of

India and her category Common Rank List (CRL) 78924 and GENEWS 119666. Since, the petitioner's family belongs to economically weaker sections (EWSs) as per eligibility criteria, concerned B.D.O., Nanoor Block has given a Certificate after proper investigation. So, as per the procedure she filed a document alongwith income certificate of her father before the SDO but the concerned officer did not accept that form and consequently, sent a representation with a prayer for EWSs Certificate alongwith required documents by Speed Post.

It is pointed out that the petitioner is required to upload EWS certificate for Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2021 as GENEWS candidate and will have to upload a fresh certificate by October 02, 2021 by 17:00 Hours IST. So, she urgently requires EWSs Certificate.

Accordingly, direction has been sought for upon the respondent no. 2 to issue EWS certificate so as to enable the petitioner to upload the EWSs certificate by 2nd October, 2021 17:00 Hours on the basis of the certificate issued by the BDO. This Court directs the Sub-Divisional Officer-respondent no. 2 to look into the matter and to consider her prayer by 1st October, 2021 from the date of communication of the order. With this above direction, W.P.A. 15767 of 2021 is disposed of.
