By our judgment and order dated June 26, 2023, we had appointed Justice Debi Prasad Dey (Retd.), a former Judge of this Court as a one man Commission under whose supervision the State Police was directed to conduct an enquiry as regards the allegations made by the writ petitioners in the writ petition. There was a further direction to file a report before the learned Single Judge after completion of the enquiry. Three weeks time was granted for the aforesaid purpose.

By a letter dated July 12, 2023, addressed to the Learned Registrar General of this Court, Justice Dey has requested for extension of the time for filing the report by fifteen days.

We extend the time for Justice Dey to file the report till August 3, 2023.

Learned Advocates for the parties say that the learned Single Judge has directed the writ petition to be listed on

July 27, 2023. In view of today's order, we are sure that the learned Single Judge will fix a later date for the matter to be heard. We are sure that the report called for shall be filed before the Learned Single Judge before the next date of hearing.
