The petitioner complains that the police is not taking proper step to investigate the FIR No. 100 dated 8th May, 2024 registered before the Shasan Police Station.

Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State respondents relies upon the report forwarded by the Inspector-in-Charge, Shasan Police Station signed on 21st June, 2024 mentioning that FIR named accused person could not be readily traced and the police is contemplating taking steps before the Learned Trial Judge for issuance of warrant of arrest.

Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the private respondents submits that his client has taken steps for obtaining anticipatory bail from this Hon'ble Court.

Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that her husband being the respondent no. 4 and his associates are residing in the same locality as that of the petitioner and are continuously threatening the petitioner to harm her with acid attack. The petitioner fears threat of life for her and her eight months old daughter.

It will be open for the petitioner to report to the police any incident which poses threat to her life and property.

The police is directed to ensure that the life and property of the petitioner and her family members are not endangered in the hands of the private respondents.

The police is further directed to continue the investigation in accordance with law and conclude the same at the earliest.

Report of the Inspector-in-Charge, Shasan Police Station signed on 21st June, 2024 is taken on record. The writ petition stands disposed of.
