The grievance of the petitioner is that his terminal benefits were not disbursed despite the petitioner retiring from service in November 2018. It has been submitted that after filing the writ petition, gratuity in the old scale has been released in favour of the petitioner.

It has further been submitted that the petitioner will be entitled to get gratuity under ROPA 2019. The Directorate Pension, Provident Fund and Group Insurance is directed to issue the revised Pension Payment Order in favour of the petitioner under the revised scale at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The Pension Payment Order dated 15th September, 2023 be retained with the records. The writ petition is thus disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
