The petitioner alleges that despite having deposited the quotation amount, new connection to the submersible pump of the petitioner has not been granted.

The writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Station Manager, Sagardighi Customer Care Centre to cause an inspection of the premises of the petitioner where the connection has been applied, in presence of the petitioner. The authority shall communicate to the petitioner whether other formalities are required to be complied with. Upon the petitioner complying with such formalities, connection shall be granted in accordance with law, preferably within a period of two months from compliance.

If the authority finds that the connection cannot be granted for valid reasons, the petitioner will be informed of such reasons.

Accordingly the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All parties are to act on the basis of server copy of this order.
