The petitioner seeks new electricity connection. 2.

The Assistant Engineer & Station Manager, Chanditala Customer Care Centre, WBSEDCL vide a letter dated November 28, 2023 intimated the petitioner that new service connection could not be effected due to physical obstruction and violence faced by the office technical team perpetrated by his neighbour. The petitioner has been asked to provide proper way-leave permission.

It has been submitted on behalf of both the petitioner and the private respondents that there is already an existing service connection in the same house where the petitioner seeks a new connection.

Learned advocate for the private respondents submits, on instructions, that his clients do not have any objection, if new electricity connection is supplied to

the petitioner in the same manner as is existing in the subject house.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Station Manager, Chanditala CCC, WBSEDCL, Hooghly, the third respondent herein, to take necessary steps for giving new electricity connection to the petitioner, after compliance of all necessary formalities, in the same manner existing in the subject premises.

It will be open for the licensee to seek necessary police protection, if necessary, at the charge of the petitioner at the time of effecting new connection. 7.

Steps shall be taken in the matter at the earliest but positively within three months from the date of communication of this order.

All parties are to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court.

9.

Certified copy of this order, if applied for, shall be made available to the parties.
