Mr. Biswajit Manna ....for the petitioner Mr. Rana Mukherjee Mr. Sobhan Gani ....for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. There was a scuffle between relatives, which resulted injuries on both sides. A co-accused was granted anticipatory bail by a Coordinate Bench of this Court on 10.07.2025 in CRM (A) 2000 of 2025. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State strongly opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and relies on the case diary. Pointing to the injury report and the statement of an independent eye-witness at page 12 of the case diary, he submits that the present petitioner was the person who had given a blow with a "Ramda" aiming at the head of the victim. However, the weapon hit the victim's left upper chest and a grievous injury was caused. Considering the incriminating materials available in the case diary and the alleged role ascribed to the present petitioner, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
