The present revisional application has been preferred for expeditious disposal of Complaint Case No. 1500 of 2018 pending before learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Court, Barasat.

I find that the present complaint was filed in the year 2018 and last of the order-sheet reflects that date was fixed for appearance and service return.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that subsequently the accused has appeared before the court. Having considered the fact that the case was filed in the year 2018 and till date, the examination of the accused under Section 251 of the Code of Criminal Procedure could not be conducted, I direct that the learned trial court should henceforth fix one date on each and every month for the purpose of the present case so that trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment should be granted to either of the parties and the spirit of the provisions of the Negotiable Instruments Act must be adhered to while completing the trial of the case.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 2441 of 2022 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
