The writ petition alleging inaction of the Inspector-inCharge, Burdwan Women Police Station, District-Purba Burdwan cannot be entertained. The averments in the writ petition and the prayers are completely different. The petitioner has prayed for quashing of the FIR being Burdwan Police Station Case No.701 of 2022 dated July 1, 2022, whereas it is submitted that the police authorities have not taken any steps with regard to the complaint filed by the petitioner.

Under such circumstances, the averments made in the writ petition do not tally with the prayers of the petitioner.

The petitioner is at liberty to approach the concerned police station in order to know the fate of the complaint which was allegedly filed by the petitioner. The police authorities shall supply such information to the petitioner in accordance with law.

The writ petition is dismissed without any orders as prayed for.

There will be no order as to costs.
