Mr. Sankar Paul Kumari Shipra Roy ....for the petitioners Mr. Md. Adil Badr Mr. Santanu Deb Roy ....for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that there was a scuffle between relatives that resulted in injury on the victim.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and points to the injury report and the statements of eye-witnesses including an independent eye-witness. Considering the nature of injury inflicted on a vital part of the body like forehead with a sharp cutting weapon "daa" and the statement of an independent eye-witness pointing towards the involvement of the present petitioner, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
