And In the matter of: Sri Pulok Roy .... Petitioner Ms. Saswati Chatterjee ...For the Petitioner It has been submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that the petitioner is an 88-years-old senior citizen. He seeks expeditious disposal of N.I. Act Case No. 269 of 2018, pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 6th Court, Sealdah, South 24 Parganas.

It has also been submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that though, the date for recording plea was fixed by the learned Magistrate in the Court below on August 16, 2021, till date, the plea has not been recorded.

In this pandemic situation, it is not expected of the learned Magistrate in the Court below to proceed with the case at a normal pace.

However, keeping in mind the innocuous nature of the prayer, this application is disposed of with a direction upon the learned Magistrate in the Court below to ensure that the plea is recorded, as early as possible, without granting any unnecessary adjournments to

the either of the parties, preferably within a period of three months from the date.

With this observation, CRR 1989 of 2021, is disposed of. Since the opposite party no. 2 will not be prejudiced by this order, this application is disposed of without serving any notice to him.
