On an application filed by the petitioners before the 6th respondent to provide a piece of land for the purpose of training centre, hostel, medical facilities, etc. for physically handicapped persons and others, 0.25 acres of land was recommended to be allotted in favour of the petitioners by a letter issued on June 20, 2012. Though several inter departmental communications were made between the authorities, the land is yet to be allotted. The petitioners pray for a direction upon the concerned authority to complete the process of allotment of the said land within a stipulated time frame.

Upon consideration of the submission made on behalf of the parties, this Court is inclined to hold that since the concerned authority has recommended allotment of 0.25 acres of land in favour of the petitioners way back in 2012, the authority, being the 6th respondent herein, is

directed to complete the entire process and hand over possession of the land in question to the petitioners within two months from the date of communication of this order. With the above observations and directions this writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be, however, no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties upon compliance of necessary formalities.
