No. 148, Mouza Chupri Jhara, Police Station Kultuli, Joynagar, South 24 Parganas.

It is submitted that the relevant land is agricultural land, and the said respondent nos. 7 to 9 are carrying out construction thereby altering the nature and character of the land. The petitioner claims to be a Bargadar of the said land.

Learned advocate representing respondent nos. 8 and 9 has not been able to produce any sanctioned plan in support of the construction work undertaken by them.

In view of the foregoing, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon Chupri Jhara Gram Panchayat, Joynagar Block-II, respondent no. 6, to take steps following the representation of the

petitioner dated May 5, 2025, appearing at page 56 of the writ petition in terms of Section 23(5) of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973, within a period of one month from the date of communication of this order. Accordingly, WPA 14875 of 2025 stands disposed of.
