The petitioner is an approved Assistant Teacher of Canning David Sassoon High School (H.S.), he is aspiring for the post of Assistant Headmaster of the said school.

The petitioner is complaining that though the District Inspector of Schools (S.E), District 24Parganas (South), the respondent no. 4 herein vide Memo No. 2741/Gen dated December 28, 2016 has accorded prior approval to fill up the said post but for the failure of the school authority to take follow-up steps, the said post is still vacant.

The Headmaster of the said school, the respondent no. 9 herein, is directed to issue notice inviting applications from eligible candidates and to take follow-up steps to fill up the said vacancy

within four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Since no affidavit-in-opposition has been invited from the respondents, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents.

W.P.A. 15205 of 2022 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
