The petitioner's husband expired on 21.02.2021 and the petitioner claimed compassionate appointment on 19.12.2022 i.e. within two years from the date of death of her husband. Therefore, it is within the time prescribed under the rule. The Sub-Inspector of Schools sent the application to Murshidabad District Primary School Council which was received on 22.12.2022. Till date no step has been taken in respect of the said application for compassionate appointment. Learned advocate for the District Primary School Council, Murshidabad has submitted that they will look into the matter within a period of three weeks from date.

I direct that the steps are to be taken by three weeks from date and it is to be communicated to the petitioner by one week thereafter.

With the above observation and direction, this writ application is disposed of.
