The petitioner claims payment in respect of the work order issued in his favour for construction of check dam and allied works under Jalatirtha Programme under Ranibandh Development Block in the year 2019.

The petitioner asserts that work was completed in terms of the work order and bills submitted for payment. The payment is yet to be released.

Learned advocate representing the Zilla Parishad submits that the completion certificate has not been annexed with the writ petition.

The Bankura Zilla Parishad is directed to ascertain as to whether the work was completed by the petitioner in terms of the work order issued vide Memo No. 593/ZP/2019 dated February 22, 2019. If it appears

that work was completed and executed in terms of the aforesaid work order, then necessary steps shall be taken for releasing the payment in favour of the petitioner.

It will be open for the Zilla Parishad to seek approval of fund from the department of Panchayat & Rural Development for the purpose of clearing the dues of the petitioner in terms of the bill raised. Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to forward all documents in support of completion of the work to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of the Court.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today is taken on record.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
