And Allowed In Re : Md. Bellal Hossain ..... petitioner Mr. Maidul Islam Kayal ...... for the petitioner Mr. Ranabir Roy Chowdhury ...... for the State Petitioner is in custody for seven months. He prays for bail. Learned lawyer for the State submits that he had absconded for a considerable period of time.
We have considered the materials on record and the conduct of the petitioner is not appreciable. However, keeping in mind the nature of the allegations and the period of detention already suffered by the petitioner, we are inclined to grant bail subject to strict conditions.
Accordingly, the petitioner be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned CJM Alipore, South 24 Parganas. Petitioner while on bail shall remain within the jurisdiction of Maheshtala police station and shall report to the Officer-in-Charge once in a week until further order.
In the event he fails to appear before the trial court without justifiable cause, the trial court shall be at liberty to cancel his bail automatically without reference to this court.
