299/25 dated 27.04.2025 being registered for investigation, no effective steps were taken. According to the petitioner, the private respondents and/or accused persons have been threatening her.

Learned advocate for the State has submitted a report which reflects that the accused persons surrendered and were granted bail.

Having considered that the plight

of the petitioner was not addressed by the police authorities regarding the subsequent threats, I direct that since three months have passed, the police authorities will inform the progress of the investigation to the defacto-complainant.

The petitioner will also approach the jurisdictional court regarding the threats which they allege they have been facing.

In case the learned Court is of the view that certain protection is to be extended, the learned court would pass necessary directions after calling for a threat perception report under the Witness Protection Scheme, 2018.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 14929 of 2025 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record. A copy of the report be handed over to the petitioner.
