We have considered the materials on record.

Petitioner tortured and poisoned his wife. She died due to poisoning at the matrimonial home. Date has been fixed for prosecution evidence.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail at this stage.

We request the trial court to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date preferably within a period of two years from the date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

Parties shall communicate a copy of this order to the trial court for due compliance.
