It does not appear that all the private respondents could be served with notice. However, they are in shoes of the accused in this case.

Report filed on behalf of the State is also taken on record.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The private respondents are the in laws of the present petitioner. The petitioner is not having any complaint against the husband because he is not residing here, but stays abroad. The private respondents had been torturing the petitioner. They finally ousted her from the matrimonial home. The petitioner approached the police for necessary help and for recording an FIR, but the police have not taken any effective step.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies

on the report and submits as follows. On the allegations leveled by the petitioner, an FIR was lodged against the parents in law under Section 498A read with Section Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. A charge sheet has been submitted in the same in 2021 under Sections 498A, 323 and 34 of the Penal Code and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. As against the other in laws, a proceeding under Section 107 of the Code has been initiated. However, the other side has also initiated a proceeding, which led to register of an FIR. The same has also resulted in a charge sheet. The police authorities are keeping a close watch on the developments in the locality.

It appears that the police have taken steps on the complaints filed from either side. FIRs have been lodged and charge sheets have been submitted.

Therefore, no further order need be passed in this regard.

However, the police authorities shall keep a sharp vigil at the locale and ensure that no breach of peace takes place. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
