The grievance of the petitioner is that he was prevented/obstructed from filing his nomination for participating in the Panchayat General Elections, 2023. The petitioner submits that on the June 14, 2023 objection seeking intervention was filed before the Commissioner of the State Election Commission by the political party which the petitioner is representing but the same has not been considered till date.

It appears that the last for filing the nomination was June 15, 2023, the date for scrutiny was June 17, 2023 and the last date for withdrawal of candidature was June 20, 2023. The petitioner has approached this Court on June 23, 2023.

I am afraid that at this delayed point of time the prayer of the petitioner for filing the nomination cannot be accepted.

It will be open for the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum for redressal of his grievances, if so advised.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
