The petitioner seeks a separate electricity connection for the premises at 16A, Bhagabati Lane, 1st Floor, Flat No.1B, Kolkata- 700 026. The CESC rejected the prayer on the ground of splitting of load.

It appears that the petitioner has already approached the concerned Grievance Redressal Officer by a letter dated May 20, 2025, against the decision of the CESC. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the Grievance Redressal Officer has not yet decided the issue. There is no justification to keep this writ petitioner pending.

Accordingly, I direct the Grievance Redressal Officer to consider the grievance of the petitioner in accordance with law after giving an opportunity of hearing to all concerned within a period of one month from date.

Accordingly, WPA 14770 of 2025 is disposed of. (Kausik Chanda, J.)
