The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner was listed as an Exempted Category Candidate instead of General Category Candidate in TET, 2014. The grievance was outlined in a representation dated 13th July, 2019 made to the Chairman of West Bengal Board of Primary Education which was received by the Board on 14th July, 2021.

The limited prayer at this stage is for the Board to consider the representation made by the petitioner.

The State and the Board are represented.

Upon hearing learned counsel for the parties, this Court is of the view that the representation dated 13th July, 2021 should be considered by the Secretary of the Board who is directed to hear all concerned parties and pass a reasoned decision within a period of four weeks from date. A copy of the decision shall be given to the petitioner within a week from the date on which such decision is taken.

It is made clear that if the Secretary of the Board decides in favour of the petitioner, expeditious steps with regard to the grievance of the petitioner shall be taken thereafter by all the concerned departments.

WPA 15943 of 2021 is disposed of in terms of above.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertakings.
