Matter is heard in presence of the learned advocates representing the petitioner and respondent nos.8, 10, 11 & 12.

It is submitted by the learned advocate representing the petitioner that certain steps taken by the petitioner's husband relating to alleged collection of bribe by police personnel enraged the concerned police authorities leading to initiation of criminal prosecution being Ashoknagar P.S. Case No.199 of 2025 dated 31st March, 2025 under certain provision of BNS, 2023.

Petitioner prays for directions upon the concerned police authority in order to protect the petitioner and her husband.

However, it is disclosed during course of submissions made on behalf of the petitioner and aforesaid private respondents that husband of the petitioner was taken into custody in connection with Ashoknagar P.S. Case No.199 of 2025 dated 31st March, 2025.

However, petitioner's husband was released on bail. 6.

Since criminal prosecution has already been initiated, Court directs the concerned police authority to expedite

[2] the investigation and take the same into its logical conclusion by submitting report before the jurisdictional Magistrate.

At this stage, Court does not find it apt to interfere with the investigation. However, considering the grievance raised in this writ petition, concerned police authorities are directed to maintain peace and tranquility at the locale and to see that no untoward incident takes place. 8.

Writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon usual undertakings. (SAUGATA BHATTACHARYYA, J.)
