This contempt application arises out of an interim order passed by an erstwhile learned Judge. The order of demolition, allowing the private respondents to demolish a portion of the building was stayed by a court in a writ petition. Ultimately, the matter was heard upon exchange of affidavits and the writ petition was disposed of with directions. The petitioners carried an appeal and the appeal was disposed of with further directions.

Review application from the decision of the appeal court is pending.

Under such circumstances, this application has now become infructuous, as the interim order merged with the final order passed in the writ petition and consequently in the appeal.

The contempt application is accordingly disposed of and the contempt proceedings are dropped.
