And In Re : Shanti Bagdi @ Dhanu & Anr.
...... petitioners Mr. Asraf Mondal ....for the petitioners Ms. Faria Hossain Ms. Baisali Basu ....for the State Petitioners pray for anticipatory bail.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that, the petitioners are the in-laws of the victim and were falsely implicated.
Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the case diary. She submits that, the victim was missing for about a month. Thereafter, the dead body of the victim was recovered. Apparently, the victim was in her matrimonial home at the time when she went missing. No person from the matrimonial side of the victim lodged the missing diary to the police.
Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioners therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 3379 of 2022 is dismissed.
