Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

The petitioner seeks stay of warrant of arrest issued by the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Hooghly on 19th December, 2022 in GR Case No.1179 of 2005.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was granted bail by the learned Court on 4th August, 2012 and appeared before the Court on every date of hearing. Warrant of arrest was issued against him on 19th December, 2022 since he was not able to appear before the Court on that date.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the petitioner shall surrender before the learned Trial Court within ten days from date.

In view of the above, the revisional application being CRR 2473 of 2024 is disposed of directing the petitioner to surrender before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Hooghly within ten days from date. In the event the petitioner surrenders within ten days and applies for bail,

the learned Magistrate shall deal with the same, in accordance with law.

The warrant of arrest issued against the petitioner on 19th December, 2022 be stayed till 26th July, 2024. If the petitioner does not surrender within the said period, the learned Trial Court shall be at liberty to proceed with the matter, in accordance with law.
