The petitioner claims to be the Mutawalli in respect of a Wakf property located within the jurisdiction of Debra Police Station, Paschim Medinipur.

It is alleged by the petitioner that Respondent No.8 is carrying out construction on Plot Nos. 605, 666, and 668 belonging to the said Wakf. It is further alleged that in undertaking this construction, Respondent No.8 has not obtained any permission from the concerned Gram Panchayat.

Respondent No.8 is not represented.

There is no justification to keep this writ petition pending.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Bharatpur Gram Panchayat, Debra, Paschim Medinipur to take appropriate steps

in terms of Section 23(5) of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973, within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order. Accordingly, WPA 14915 of 2025 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
