1. Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

2. The petitioner has been implicated in a criminal proceeding being Contai PS Case no. 195 of 2020 dated 15th June, 2020 under Sections 498A/304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. The petitioner is aggrieved by the manner in which the case is being handled by the Public Prosecutor.

4. A prayer for changing the Public Prosecutor has been made by the petitioner and the same is pending consideration at the end of the Legal Remembrancer, Government of West Bengal for a considerable period of time.

5. Without entering into the merit of the writ petition at this stage, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Legal Remembrancer, Government of West Bengal to take into consideration the petitioner's representation received in the office of the authority on 28th February, 2024 strictly in accordance with the prevailing guidelines

at the earliest but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

6. The prayer of the petitioner for engaging any advocate from the panel of the Special Public Prosecutor may also be taken into consideration by the Legal Remembrancer.

7. The writ petition stands disposed of.

8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
