The petitioner is claiming grant of study leave to pursue his studies for Post Doctoral Certificate Course (PDCC), batch 2024-25. The issue is pending before the West Bengal Administrative Tribunal.

It is under such circumstance, we have enquired from the learned counsel for the petitioner as to what is the grave urgency.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since the study leave has not been granted, there is a likelihood that the petitioner may fall short of the requirement of attendance for the course.

It is not in dispute that even if study leave is not granted, the petitioner would still be entitled to seek grant of other leaves to his credit.

Under such circumstances, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he will be making

an application for grant of leave other than study leave so as to facilitate the petitioner's course. 6.

With such liberty and without expressing any opinion on merits of the submissions, the Writ Petition being W.P.S.T. No. 140 of 2025 is dismissed.
