The primary prayer of the petitioner is for a direction upon the 4th respondent to provide the Police Station case number and name of the authority where the same is presently pending.

Learned counsel for the petitioner takes this Court to a reply to an application made by the petitioner under the Right to Information Act before the Khardah Police Station which states that the required data is not available at the police station. Therefore directing the same authority to provide necessary information sought by the petitioner shall be a futile exercise. Also, this Court, in exercising jurisdiction under the present determination cannot entertain such a prayer.

Accordingly the writ petition found to be not maintainable and is dismissed.
