Nothing remains to be decided in the contempt application. The order of this Court has already been complied with by the panchayat authorities, although belatedly.

However, it is submitted that finding of unauthorized construction together with documents have been forwarded to the concerned Sub-Divisional Officer in terms of Section 23(5) of the West Bengal Panchayat Act.

It is expected that the Sub-Divisional Officer will continue with the matter and do the needful in accordance with law.

Under such circumstances, the contempt application is disposed of. Contempt proceedings are dropped. (Shampa Sarkar, J.)
