Petitioner was served with a notice under Section 67 (C) of the NDPS Act but the grievance of the petitioner is that he is unable to know the allegations against him and is apprehensive as he has information that some of the individuals who appeared before the Narcotic Control Bureau has been taken into custody.

Mondal, learned senior advocate, appears on behalf of the Narcotic Control Bureau. Having considered the plight expressed by the petitioner, I direct that a fresh notice be served within a period of seven days along with a gist of the allegations on the foundation on which investigation

is being carried out by the Narcotic Control Bureau. Reference of file number, memo number and/or any number in reference to which the petitioner is being called be also mentioned in the notice. Petitioner within seven days from the date of receipt of the notice or on the date mentioned in the notice will make himself available. However, this would not preclude the petitioner from availing other remedies available under the law.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 14753 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
