The petitioner filed the instant writ petition challenging the steps taken by the respondent authorities to cancel the reservation certificate issued in his favour.

It has been submitted that during the pendency of the instant writ petition, the reservation certificate has been returned to the petitioner and the

petitioner currently does not intend to proceed with the writ petition any further.

The writ petition has become infructuous in view of the subsequent development that has taken place.

In view of such submission, the writ petition stands dismissed as 'infructuous'.

Instruction forwarded by the Sub Divisional Officer, Barrackpore, North 24 Parganas signed on 12th September, 2025 be retained with the records. 7.

Let a copy of the instruction be forwarded to the learned advocate representing the applicant in the application seeking intervention.

Due to disposal of the instant writ petition, nothing remains to be decided in the connected application. The application being CAN 1 of 2025 stands disposed of.

It will be open for the applicant to take necessary steps to challenge the order passed by the Sub Divisional Officer confirming the reservation certificate of the petitioner in accordance with law, if so advised.

10. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
