Learned counsel for the petitioner in WPA 14166 of 2021 submits that this court had granted time to the DVC to restore electric supplies of each of the writ petitioners within an outer limit of February 28, 2022, apparently under the impression that the power supply of all the writ petitioners had been disconnected.

However, it is submitted that the power supply of only the writ petitioner in WPA 14166 of 2021, and not the other writ petitions, had been disconnected. As such, learned counsel seeks that the outer limit for restoring such connection may be shortened. Learned counsel for the DVC, however, submits that the DVC intends to prefer an appeal against the order of this court dated January 24, 2022 and requires time at least till February 28, 2022 for such purpose.

As such, it is prayed that the outer limit may not be shortened as per the prayer of the petitioner in WPA 14166 of 2021.

It is further argued that since large amounts of bill amounts have to be calculated for such purpose, it may not be possible to prefer the appeal at least prior to February 28, 2022.

Upon considering the submissions of both the parties, it appears that there is no immediate necessity to shorten the outer limit of giving electric connection, particularly in view of the fact that the DVC seeks to prefer an appeal against the order-in-question. As such, the prayer for "correction", as made by the petitioner in WPA 14166 of 2021, is refused. Let this order be treated to be part of the order dated January 24, 2022.
