Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner is in detention in excess of 1025 days. He submits that, the prosecution failed to produced witnesses for which orders for issuance of non-bailable warrants were issued. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that, on several occasions there were resolutions from the Bar preventing the expeditious disposal of the trial. Moreover, the ongoing pandemic delayed the disposal of the trial. Considering that the ongoing pandemic affected the regular business of the Court and the fact that there is hardly any change in circumstances from the earlier order of rejection, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected and the application being CRM 6548 of 2021 is disposed of. (Debangsu Basak, J.) (Ananda Kumar Mukherjee, J.)
