The petitioners pray for removal of encroachers from the Government plot of land.

The representation filed by the petitioners is pending consideration before the Executive Engineer, Tamluk Highway Division.

Without going into the merits of the claim of the petitioner the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Executive Engineer, Public Works (Roads), Directorate, Tamluk Highway Division to take prompt necessary steps to remove the encroachers from the Government plot of land in

accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

The report filed by the Inspector-in-Charge, Tamluk PS, Purba Medinipur be retained with the record.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
