Prima facie, there is very strong evidence against this petitioner. She is the sister in law of the victim lady, who, according to the dying declaration, was set on fire by her husband and this petitioner after she was doused with kerosene. The petitioner says that she is in custody for seven months. She has two young children. Charge sheet has been filed. Two accused persons have already been granted bail/anticipatory bail. She should be granted bail. Learned Advocate for the State strongly opposes the prayer for bail. He says that there is enough prima facie indication of the petitioner's involvement in the crime, which is of a heinous nature.

On going through the material in the Case Diary, we find prima facie involvement of the petitioner in the alleged offence.

Hence, we are not inclined to entertain the petitioner's prayer for bail, at this stage.

The prayer for bail is, accordingly, rejected. CRM (DB) 1994 of 2024 is dismissed.
