Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the private respondents had been flexing their muscles, thereby demanding money from the petitioner for running the cinema hall. Petitioner informed the Inspector-in-Charge, Bongaon Police Station but after registration of Bongaon Police Station case no. 173/25 dated 28.02.2025 no steps have been taken.
Having considered that more than three months have passed from registration of the FIR, the concerned investigating officer would send a report regarding the progress of the investigation to the de-facto complainant who has set the law into motion. In case the investigating officer do not send the said progress report within a period of seven days from the date of communication, petitioner would approach the jurisdictional Magistrate,
the jurisdictional Magistrate would take harsh steps against the investigating officer for such progress report being sent to the de-facto complainant.
It is further directed that since the dispute is relating to a business premises, police authorities would ensure that there is no breach of the peace and/or tranquility and/or any untoward incident results because of the strained relationship existing between the petitioner and the private respondents.
With the aforesaid observations WPA 14979 of 2025 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
