Criminal Revisional Jurisdiction 11-07-2023 Subha Item no. 33 Ct no.34 CRR 2484 of 2022 Tarak Hela -versus- The State of West Bengal Mr. Sandip Chandra Mondal Mr. Sumit Routh ....for the petitioner.

The present revisional application has been preferred for expeditious disposal of N.D.P.S Case No. 61 of 2020, which arose out of Belghoria P. S. Case No. 416 of 2020 dated 04.09.2020. The stage at which the petitioner approached this court on the said date the petitioner was detained in custody. The case of the year 2020. In case, the petitioner is in custody, the learned trial court would fix at least a schedule of four dates and fix a schedule once in a month so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournments should be granted to either of the parties.

If required, the learned trial court in respect of absence of witnesses belonging to Government Department would communicate with the Superintendent of Police of the District or the Commissioner of Police who is in charge of police station conducting the investigation to ensure regarding the presence of such witnesses on the dates so fixed by the learned trial court.
