1. The petitioner no.1 is the husband and the petitioner no.2 is the mother-in-law of the de facto complainant.

2. The learned Counsel for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

3. Considering the materials available in the case diary, the nature of injury which appears to be simple in nature and the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C., we are of the view that the custodial interrogation of the petitioners is not necessary.

4. Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioners, namely, Raja Dhara and Niharbala Dhara @ Nihari Dhara, shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- each, with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must Signed By :

be local, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. It is further directed that the petitioner no.1 shall meet the Investigating Officer once in a week till the submission of the final report and the petitioner no.2 shall cooperate with the investigation and they shall not leave District Purba Burdwan till the submission of the final report. It is also directed that the petitioners shall appear before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bishnupur, Bankura in connection with G.R. Case No.597 of 2024 and pray for regular bail within two weeks from date.

5. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is disposed of.
