1. Nobody appears for the petitioner.

2. The perusal of the writ Petition shows that the Petitioner is working as Assistant Professor at Kaliyaganj College. It is the case of the Petitioner is that as per the office order dated 16.02.2010 issued by the Election Commission of India, Group -A or senior Officials including the teaching staff of the Universities and colleges should not be assigned polling duties at the polling stations without recording specific reasons by the District Election Officers. It is the case of the Petitioner that vide the impugned orders, the District Election Officers deployed the Petitioner as Presiding officer for the election duty contrary to the said Officer order dated 16.02.2010. Since Petitioner refused to join the training program the Respondents issued show cause notice dated 22.06.2023, and the Petitioner responded to the said show case notice vide reply dated 24.06.2023. Being aggrieved by the said show cause notice, the Petitioner preferred the present writ petition.

3. Since there was no appearance from the Petitioner, the present writ Petition is dismissed in default. (Gaurang Kanth, J.)
