The petitioner is a student of Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry at Arawali Veterinary College, affiliated with Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bikaner, Rajasthan. The petitioner sought her transfer from the said college to Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Science, West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Science, Kolkata.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that despite a letter issued from the Veterinary Council of India dated May 29, 2023 addressed to the Vice-Chancellor, West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, Kolkata, till date no follow up action has been taken by the University.

It has been submitted by Mr. Chaudhuri, learned advocate appearing for the university that as on date the university is functioning without a Vice-Chancellor and a regular Registrar.

In that view of the matter, I authorise the Controller of West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Science to take a decision in terms of the said communication dated May 29, 2023 within a period of two weeks from the date of communication of this order.

With the aforesaid direction, WPA 15095 of 2023 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
