The petitioner has approached this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution seeking compensation for the delay in disposal of a criminal case which was kept pending from 2001 to 2020.

I am of the opinion that the writ court will not be the competent forum to adjudicate such dispute. 3.

In view of the above, the writ petition stands dismissed.

However, dismissal of the writ petition will not preclude the petitioner from approaching the appropriate forum for relief in accordance with law, if so advised.
