Said report is taken on record.

It was narrated in previous orders that petitioner participated in Higher Secondary Examination, 2022 conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education and on supply of authenticated answer script of Mathematics paper it was found by the petitioner that out of 6 loose sheets which were taken by him three went missing and rest three are tied to the main answer script. Taking note of the endorsement made as well as marks awarded by the examiner to answers of some of the questions attempted by the petitioner in Mathematics Part-A certain observations were made by this court in previous orders based on which President, West Bengal Council of Higher

Secondary Education decided to reconsider the issue keeping in view of the fact that three loose sheets are not tied to Mathematics answer script of petitioner. On perusal of report filed today on behalf of Council and the decision of the President of the Council dated 2nd December, 2024, it appears in consideration of academic interest of the petitioner Council has decided to enhance 35 marks in Mathematics (Theory) as a result whereof total marks awarded to the petitioner has been enhanced from 55 to 90. Revised mark-sheet is also appended to the report filed today on behalf of the Council.

Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that the petitioner is satisfied with enhancement of marks in Mathematics (Theory) from 35 to 70. This Court expects in future such incident will not happen with any other candidate.

Hence, writ petition stands disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
