The petitioner was granted a license to run a 'haat' by the Nadia Zilla Regulated Market Committee on a lease land. The period for which such license was given is 01.04.2023 to 31.03.2024 at Mouza 041, Dag No. No.1557 and 1566. The petitioner has granted a trade license for the same. Yet, the Inspector in Charge of Karimpur Police Station and the BDO, Karimpur-II, Development Block have been threatening and intimidating the petitioner and preventing him from running the market. Complaints were made to the concerned authorities, but in vain. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State, upon instructions, submits that neither the I.C. of Karimpur Police Station nor the concerned BDO have been or would be obstructing the petitioner from running the market on such land on the basis of license given by the Regulated Market Committee.

As the prime grievance of the petitioner has thus been

redressed, there is no need to pass any further orders. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
